Hocus Pocus!

  • Chicago aldermen are again fighting city Aviation Commissioner Ginger Evans’ decision to remove the word “police” from airport security officers’ titles after an infamous dragging incident on a United Airlines flight at O’Hare airport.

An ordinance introduced Wednesday would take away Evans’ power to make the change and once again designate roughly 290 airport officers as police, instead of security guards. It faces an uphill battle though. The proposal’s sponsors said Wednesday they haven’t spoken to Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration about the idea, nor have they taken a head count in the City Council to see if they have enough support to push it forward.
Typical Chicago politics, each trying to out-clout the other with no one knowing what is actually going on. Idiots all. What does all this mean for the supposed Airport North/South expansion plans?

What is needed is a $500,000 Study to discover the right name to name the security force at O'Hare.

Police? No.
Guards? Hmmmmm?
Grenadiers? No, too British.
Polizei? No, too German.
Gestapo? No, WAY too German and that would require "Safespaces" for all Millennials.

This is only page one. Please send the $500,000 to initiate the study.

Smoke and mirrors. They are the police but they do security guard work. And are paid very well to do it.

You notice nobody is quitting and going to another police Department.

Keep in mind if dismantling them works could the City then dismantle The Chicago Police dept. You see Alderman giving away millions to convict do you think a blue shirt has a chance.

COPA was made in less than a couple of years. Look up the law about deputizing someone which RAHM can do.

If they want to wear police on their bodies GOD BLESS them. The simple solution is to have a CPD Super Bid to both airports to cover their 200+ spots and send them to our academy. Then 25 yrs later they can return to O'Hare and Midway after they EARNED it like the officers at the airports. Good luck but you can't have it both ways. For the people saying they are the police you are wrong very very wrong.

Put these guys thru the academy in service course and give them guns, but if they do, then make the mandatory age at 63 just like CPD police have to adhere to. Our airports are pathetic and if I had to go at 63 so do they if t heyy say they are the police.

DOA Security has no GO's no operating procedures and no administrative infrastructure. Plus, if DOA Security was deemed and accepted as police, most would be forced to quit as they are older than 63! The rest wouldn't pass a psychological exam!

Only major airport in the world that doesn't have armored vehicles and a full time Tactical unit, not our kind of tac, the real tactical unit, similar to a swat team. Police departments from other countries have come to see our security measures and they were horrified to see how grossly under prepared and under staffed O'Hare was. Go figure. I think terrorists stay away from Chicago because the Chicago way is spreading across the country and by leaving it alone it is helping to destroy this country.

Hey Aviation Security Guy posting, I am the police and I assure you they have dealt with none of
the same things that I have. They give directions to terminals, serve as lost and found, and write tickets which have no bearing on someone’s driving record to airport workers. I don’t care where they graduated, they never had statutory powers of arrest. That’s why you are not a “copper”, you goof. They’re not even trusted to carry a gun for Christ’s sake. “As much the police as CLD or burb coppers are”...you are delusional. You’re like the hood rat wearing scrubs that I pull over and says she’s a nurse. “Ok I’m not a nurse, I’m a PCT, it’s the same thing.” Yeah sure it is.

How much has $EIU given so far and how much will they give to RAHM 2019?

It's the same bunch of unrepentant, deeply and
irredeemably and willfully IGNANT m/fers talking the same
eye-wateringly stupid and obtuse shit.

Soliciting the U.N. is a sign that as we get deeper into
the current presidency, these m/fers are increasingly
DESPERATE because tax-payer subsidization of the last
53 years of "Free Shit" with NOTHING TO SHOW for it but
a yawning abyss where multiple $Trillions of tax-payer
treasure was lit aflame and thrown into.

And the ultimate indignity is that law-abiding American
society has been shoved to the edge of the same hole.

Boykin should stop pussy-footin' around and say what
he means... "We need more of everybody else's money
to keep the fuck-giving charade going."

Or deeper still?

"We needs money for jobs, an' grants, an' schools,
an' programs an' we needs Y'ALL to give it to us
or we finna be mad an' shit..."

As we heard some rattle-mind m/fer say years ago:
"Thems that has, gots to give."

It's past time for decent, law abiding, peace loving
ordinary people who make up the great American middle
to check these seditious assed, freedom and sovereignty
hating leftists and their perpetual grievance bed mates.
