First Issue....Tie Bar?

What the hell is this? An AdMin Fax message came out Friday stating in part:
  • All Commanders and Unit Commanding Officers should be aware that personnel assigned to pick up the payroll checks on 15 DEC 17 will also be receiving a small package of first issue uniform tie clips.
Tie clips? Seriously, First Issue tie clips? We've solved all the other problems and we're nitpicking on tie clips. Something that is never seen under vests or jackets. Something never needed if you wear the turtleneck. If you've seen the ties nowadays, they have little buttonholes on the back that holds the tie in place over existing shirt buttons.

We saw the clips Friday and they are just about the cheapest piece of stamped/folded metal ever. We don't know what connected uniform company supplied them, but the kickback must have been enormous. And what tool is going to try to get a gold star out of this pointless effort?

Tie bars.

With ALL the problems and shortcomings in the CPD, THIS is a priority??

What pea-brain (read Gold Star) is sitting up nights worrying about tie bars?

This really speaks volumes as to what is on the "Priority List" of CPD Leadership (another oxymoron).

Better focus more on getting rid of carjackings, robberies, and shootings- and maybe not in that order - but get those on the list!!

Tie Bars? Next, they will talking about sock lengths and regular cuff vs. french cuff shirts or starch in the collar of shirts.

I didn't know Sy Syms was a Commander?

Tie bars? Those went out with the Titanic. Well, since CPD is almost like the Titanic, maybe someone wants to make a fashion statement?

I was going to come down for Christmas, but I have changed my mind. With my luck, my Rolls would be carjacked in front of Nieman-Marcus. Then, how would I get home?

Take Public Transportation?

A Howell never takes ANY public transportation. Get real, chaps!

Hmmm, sitting with the masses? With all the Sanctuary City people, I wonder what diseases they have not been immunized for? Tuberculosis? Malaria? Typhoid? Beriberi?

Sorry, but another year spending my money elsewhere. Tally-Ho!

And to all you Rubes out there, that is not a street hooker's name.

I was again sitting at my desk tonight. So again I opened my County Email and I noticed that the Administration Sent Another Email. So I opened the Email and started reading the Memo. Basically it started about Fired Officers getting their Jobs back because a Fraud Merit Board Created Tom Dart. Ok what ever I thought. But then I started reading further and Tom Dart basically stated that he was Questioning the Fraud Merit Board he Created. He is now Saying that anyone Hired, Promoted within the Time he has been Sheriff maybe subjected to being not Certified for hire or Law Enforcement. This includes Correctional Department, Court Service Deputies, And Sheriff Police. Ok. So after Talking to a Lawyer Friend he asked me to send the Email to him. He looked at the Email and stated he cant believe that Tom Dart would ever come out with such a statement about his Department .He stated that Lawyers will come out in Full Force and file Thousands of Law suits Against Tom Dart for Committing Fraud. Falsely Arresting people since 2005 to Present clearly knowing that his Sworn Staff were not Certified by the Merit Board. This Lawyer stated he wanted to research this further and was going to Contact a Civil Rights Law Firm to further look into this Matter. He stated that This could be bigger then Jon Burge Lawsuits. I'm also Forwarding the Email to the US Justice Dept. Tom Dart I really think you fucked up bad this time. Your time as County Cook Sheriff is a Fraud. I'm hoping that this leads to you not only being Fired by the Taxpayer and Voters. But I hope it leads to you being sent to Federal Prison and Sentenced to a long time away from your family.

Here is the Email Tom Dart sent to the entire staff within the Sheriff's Department.

(Recently, a number of lawsuits seeking back pay and reinstatement have been filed by former employees who were terminated for serious misconduct.

These lawsuits follow a decision rendered in Percy Taylor v. Dart, et al., 13 CH 26319, which challenged the appointment of a Merit Board member, arguing that his appointment was in error and therefore any actions taken by the board during his tenure were void. We strongly disagree with this argument, but accept the court's ruling and have passed legislation to clarify the authority of this office to fill vacancies as they occur on the Merit Board. The Merit Board will be fully constituted, pursuant to P.A. 100-562, at today's County Board meeting.

Unfortunately, while the lawsuits are focused only on the Merit Board's authority to terminate or impose serious discipline, they have necessarily called into question the validity of all employees certified from at least October, 2005, to the present, which includes the certifications of at least 1,700 correctional officers. We have sought an opinion from the State's Attorney's Office on this critical question.

These lawsuits are extremely unfortunate and brought by former employees who violated the public's trust and their oath to serve and protect. We will continue to defend this office and the county against these claims and to do all we can to support and protect the hardworking men and women of our office.

Another interview today by the Supe trying to convince the public that we are making a dent in crime numbers. News flash we have not peaked yet, worst is yet to come. No one can effectively police when our leadership caved in to leftist police haters and are hellbent on their own version of a consent decree to protect their political careers. Unfortunately, I don't see any sort of law and order here anytime soon. We had a handle before, all the progress has been lost. I wish the few bosses that have some brains would speak up. All the Rah Rah speeches in roll calls to get blue shirts to jeopardize their livelihood with bs useless isrs and TSS cards, yet not a peep to big bosses about things that are not working and the morale of the beat coppers. No leadership, No balls. Every time I see a kid with under 10yrs on, I just feel so bad for the nonsense they will have to endure to get to the finish line.

012 tac Lt will be very excited about the new tie clips. I’m sure it will be enforced. He reminds me of a Lt when I was in the marines. A guy who came in knowing nothing and was only a Lt because he went to school but acted like he was a real combat vet. He would embarrass himself in front of all the troops who have actually been in combat before and the gunnys. The 012 tac Lt is like that. Comes in and knows nothing. Been a house mouse 90 percent of his career and is now trying to play police and enforce stupid nit pick rules. The job of the tac Lt is to let the sgts run the teams. Show up and stay behind the scenes and be availible ONLY when needed or requested.

What is the "story" in this story? He was disciplined, it's over. There is a process, and apparently it was followed in this case (nothing in the report says otherwise). Some trib reporter must have gotten a ticket in chicago heights and wasn't happy.

Tribune wants heads everytime something happens. It might (might) be a story if he was criminally charged (he wasn't) and there were no admin charges.

These tools will not stop until they have destroyed the Police by every means possible, and then they will wring their collective hands and complain about the epidemic of crime and violence. . . Absolute insanity

And I mean, police officers get off every day for doing this," Grammy-nominated singer Bryan James Sledge, better known as BJ the Kid, told CNN's #GetPolitical series last month. The front of our organization is being assaulted by 9.5 and his law department, Lori Lightfoot and her police board, a self-serving city council, the head-hunting COPA, scumbag lawyers, a seriously flawed media and a mostly ungrateful citizenry in an attempt to destroy the whole structure of law enforcement, while our hierarchy is at the back loading dock opening the first box of new tie tacks.

Hey Lori Lightfoot, come to 007 and work a beat car with us on afternoons for a couple of months. It is a tough place and, in most instances, there is no time for pleasantries. This story has been evolving in the news. By now, three women claiming to be his victims have come forward, accusing Oxford University professor Tariq Ramadan of rape, blackmail, and “sexual violence with great brutality.” Now these charges are being described by Ramadan’s supporters as a “Zionist plot.” As no details of this so-called “plot” have been revealed, I decided to supply a possible script, a fantastic tale which others are free to use, as long as payment, which I don’t think need be specified here, is provided by Ramadan’s loyal friends in the Arab Gulf.

Wake up everyone, the department chose to issue us the least expensive item that they could. Now when you lose it, break it or just plain don't have it, you will be the receipient of a SPAR form. Enough of those and you will take a day or two or three and the CPD will save salary money to pay for the minimal cost of the original issue. Ha....rahm got us again!

Unbelievable. This job used to actually be fun. Yes millennial coppers, it used to be a lot of fun. And there was a promise of a healthy retirement with a pension. That's also now gone. Coppers used to put up with the political environment that we were in because we were supported for the most part to do our jobs and keep crime rates low. Look what happenes when you let the inmates run the asylum. It's just down right dangerous and self deprecating from EVERY angle to be the police today. New coppers take this job because their paid $72,000 a year after probation. They don't even realize that the instructors are telling them in the academy to NOT DO ANYTHING. Oh, and if you happen to survive 25-30 years, remember there's no pension and no health care. Good luck with those tie clips.

OT: Chicago Heights lieutenant suspended 20 days for bar fight

What is the "story" in this story? He was disciplined, it's over. There is a process, and apparently it was followed in this case (nothing in the report says otherwise). Some trib reporter must have gotten a ticket in chicago heights and wasn't happy.

Tribune wants heads everytime something happens. It might (might) be a story if he was criminally charged (he wasn't) and there were no admin charges.

These tools will not stop until they have destroyed the Police by every means possible, and then they will wring their collective hands and complain about the epidemic of crime and violence. . . Absolute insanity
