Bad Judge!

No votes for you!
  • SCC, can you ask your reading audience to expand this small list of judges that need to be voted out of office in the next election? Have them name the judge and submit a legit case that the judge ruled on that finds them unfit to further serve on the bench

Judge Carol Howard, Sept 8th, she lowered the bond of a serial rapist allowing him out on electronic monitoring. June 15th, she freed a man convicted of setting his girlfriend on fire. July 11th, she gave 4 months probation to a mother who threw her newborn baby off of an 8th floor balcony

Judge Hooks, sentenced a female to probation after kiddnapping and torturing a disabled kid

    Pleas add all others.......
What we really need is someone with the expertise/knowledge to compile a list of judges who are actually elected versus those who are appointed and don't have to face the voters. Then figure out what year each judge is up for retention so we can post reminders that this particular judge really needs to be removed. Remember, there's always the chance that they'll be appointed after losing anyway by Evans.

Or we could just keep spreading the word to vote "NO" on all judges regardless of good/bad/indifferent temperment. The chances of another Greylord investigation cleaning house are better than in years past, but it takes too much time to set up.

Yes I agree that you conjure up the list of cook county "deplorables" who should not even be paid to do this bullshit-- your average citizen could pass fair judgement on assholes rather than these judges-- and to fuck the citizens more-- these judges are working up a pension too. Ok ok ok, judge, you release asshole who should had got a trip to IDOC... but to expect a pension on top of it for doing a reckless job-- fuck you

Judge Joe Clapps. A few years back CPD Sgt accused of sexual assault. Claps finds Sgt. Guilty ignores the evidence. Court of appeals finds Claps ignored evidence and Law. Overturns conviction and it was so egregious that
Sgt could not be tried again. Hates the police cannot even hide it.

After Greylord, the public backlash (voting no on all judges) unfortunately threw out a few good judges as well. To make matters worse, many of the hacks were quickly reappointed as associate judges until the furor calmed and they could put back on the ballot.

Ballotpedia.org has all the information on judges locally as well as nationally. Associate judges are appointed. Circuit and subcircuit judges are elected. By voting no on all judges you might vote out good ones. Educate and inform others. The judicial process is kept in the dark because most people never go to court. It is the new patronage.

Back in "Da day", when the Real Mayor Daley referred to People of Color as "Coloreds", and remember he was a Democrat, there was something called a Palm Card. The Precinct Captain, after promising to replace your metal garbage can, would give your parents a piece of paper, that they would take into the polling place to pick the anointed Machine Candidates. Now in this day of a Paperless Society, (Don Lemon's Girl/Boyfriend's favorite term.) it is hard to imagine this working. But I believe it can, because we now all have access to a printing capability. I do not recall police voters removing a judge since the FOP actually passed out buttons to vote out a judge who allowed someone to beat a police officer into needing facial reconstruction and that was in the 80's and Operation Greylord. And that officer never sued the County, the City or the Judge. Though she may have settled up in a different way since she retired a Captain. SCC and the FOP need to print out small Palm Cards to vote against specific judges. We can duplicate them and pass them out to family and friends. It may work to eliminate judges and make other judges consider victims and police, rather than just the offenders. Baby "G"

Great idea! It should be kept and updated on the website and maybe include the voting record of politicians, State reps etc. When they make poor decisions, back harmful legislation, vote against issues that are political in nature and hurt the folks there should be an entry and corresponding reminder of the issue.

O/T
So...the folks, or people, at felony review are saying that they have another “policy change”. If you’ve ever done traffic, you’ll know that certain traffic charges and impounds really hurt these gangbangers and have a huge ripple effect for future charging and PC. Especially the dui’s and revoked dLs. State statute reads that if someone is revoked for DUI,(or leaving the scene of an accident that caused GBH or death) and has 1, that’s right 1 post 6-303 conviction after the DUI, then their next traffic arrest is a felony. Felony review now says that the drivers need “5” convictions after the DUI. To free up unnecessary arrests or some crap like that. Now I know most of you don’t do traffic, but for those of us that do, it’s not only a loss of many court dates it’s the principle. These felony arrests are out there, everywhere. The law has not changed. It’s like the retail theft “policy change”. The law has not changed, just the laziness of the people at felony review. Such a headache.

The public has to find out about the despicable actions of these activist judges. It should also be revealed who the judge’s political sponsor is. If a ward organization endorses them, that should be revealed also. When a flier from the ward organization is left at homes endorsing the judge , an alternate flier should also be distributed. The alternate flier would inform people that the ward organization is backing the judge despite questionable actions in the court room. The actions should also be described. You would hope that people would vote against the ward organization or sponsor when they realize that they have no consideration for the voter at all. The people who put these judges in power should be held accountable.

Getting them all unseated at once through non violent means is unrealistic. Pick one bad judge and focus all your energy on them and unseat them. It has to be a movement though. When the “Dump Passarella” campaign unseated Passarella in 1986 it righted a terrible injustice against Cathy T and put all other judges on notice. Pick one. I say pick Hooks. His name is easy to fit on a button.

John Maher is running for Judge County wide. His dad and grandfather were police. John just successfully got a huge RICO conviction in Cook county as an ASA. We need to develop our own list of judges based on our interview process and not only endorse but help get them elected. Judicial dropoff is always huge and that is why machine candidates get elected. Colleen Daly who’s husband is the police is also running in a sub circuit. Colleen and John will be great judges and hope they submit for an interview when seekinging Fop endorsement. Again endorsement isn’t enough. We need to have boots on the ground to help elect the judges that will be fair to the police and hold criminals responsible.

The FOP should be putting out this list and circulating it widely, inside and outside the department. Many cases where this happens never see a bit of publicity, but officers are aware. One combined list from all sources is what is needed. Include data from CPD and CCSD. Get the list into the main street news. an ad in the Times and Trib. It is time for the FOP to start fighting back against the politicians and the judges are a good start. Divide and conquer, judges might start rolling on their clout if they start getting called out.

Campaign season is on the horizon so all these democrats can court the women's vote . Democrats are the first line defense, taking an affirmative position advocating the rights, the dignity and the respect of all women, especially those of color. Only democrats have compassion for women-other political parties disrespect women. One would think the courts would protect women rights. Democrats always stress women are vulnerable and their party stands up for them in rhetorical ways. Actions speak louder than the empty campaign slogans, billboards and speeches.

A serial rapist was released in the newest chapter on Cook County's War on Women. The accused predatory sexual criminal was freed on bond with electronic monitoring. The defense attorney argued for his release on the condition he would seek a job and gainful employment until trial. The judge feared if jailed at 26 + Cal, the serial rapist would openly masturbate in front of female defense attorneys at the jail in Tom Dart's (D) own version of pizzagate [not to be confused with John Podesta's e-mail pizzagate].

Job prospects for the serial rapist are excellent with positions with generous benefit packages as a Hollywood director, a Minnesota Senator, numerous NFL Network sports commentator spots, a Michigan representative, a publically funded PBS Anchor sport, a co-host position on the Today show, a co-founder poistion at Def Jamz records, to name a few positions seeking qualified applicants with sexual misconduct experience. The serial rapist most identifies with the democrat party so he should fit right in with these corporate cultures of demeaning women.

Judge Howard is completely inept and has no concept of how to read the law. She interprets law in Her own way, which is why it’s rare to see a jury trial in her room. Defendants with competent attorney’s always take a bench, they will always go free. She thinks she is “saving” her people but the people she saves always go out and commit crimes against her people. She was a horrible public defender and even worse judge.

They figured out that if a sitting judge drops dead, goes batty or decides just to quit, an appointment is made to fill the seat, until an election and then they become the Incumbent. Same as the AlderStooges do.
Nobody wants to get dumped to Juvy, Housing or Traffic Court. Lots of crybabies - like the District.
So they appease Teem Evans and Toenail PrickWrinkles by administrating the KimmJongFxxx RestoJustices.
Let those people go.

As the election is concerned they’re mostly Democrats and they run unopposed after 6 year stint or a vacancy pops up.
Remember that goof law clerk (Crawford) that filled in for an goofy sitting judge (Turner forced into retirement), she actually won the election handily and unopposed...with a Suspended Law License and of course an Indictment. Think that seat is vacant.

Still need the Democrat nod but first come knocking for a party endorsement with a fat wallet, fatter wallet gets the interview, fattest wallet gets the spot.
Maybe two or three vacancies ever get two candidates.

Crooked system, won’t be fixed, they’ll let everybody go anyway.
Always Voted NO Retention, one exception is Judge Nicholas Ford.

It is my understanding that if you don't check either a yes or no vote on the judges it is the same as a yes vote. Only a no vote counts against a judge. If you don't vote either way it is a pass for retention because it does not count against the judge. Vote no to mean no, just don't leave the box blank.

Your understanding is wrong. They need 60% of the votes voted for that judge. Not hard considering the aldermen and precinct captains have their loyal old time voters vote for all the judges and in reality how many people go out of their way to vote against a judge
The huge percentage of voters have no interests in a judge or never come in contact with the criminal system
