Not Just Short Police

  • When you need an ambulance, every second counts. But two paramedics tell 2 Investigator [Troll] help might not be there when you need it.

It was a typical afternoon in the city. The dispatcher on the radio pleading for ambulances: “Anybody? … Anybody else available out there? … Anybody available out there that can take a run?”

[Troll] asked a paramedic how often this type of thing occurs. “Daily,” came the response. “Sometimes several times a day.” The instances are so alarming the two paramedics agreed to talk with CBS 2 if they could remain anonymous.

The standard for response time for an ambulance is six minutes. That day in question, there was a 19-minute response for an overdose; a 20-minute response for a child hit by a car and a 23-minute response for a high-risk pregnancy.
This makes the LEMART training that much more important, and maybe even that "Stop the Bleed" program isn't too far fetched as Rahm's Chicago slowly breaks down.

That's just plain criminal, and Rahm is up on his
cloud. In a heart attack, stroke, overdose, the brain
can only survive for approx. 6 minutes without oxygen.
Killing them softly takes on a brand new meaning.

Revisit SCC's "Everyone Can Pitch In" thread
that went up on 06 November...

City Hall is pushing for "Good Samaritans"
to perform CPR, apply tourniquets and stanch
bleeding because Rahm al-Ghoul has gutted
the Paramedics just like he's gutted The
Police.

"Everyone Can Pitch In," is nothing
but empty feel-goodery designed to
paper over an ever increasing
paramedic shortage.

Rahm's next move will be to strip
Paramedic coverage from tax paying
areas so the Catered-To Constituency
doesn't light his ass on fire.

Oh well... Per the usual?
The Police are the problem.

Have you so called decent, law abiding,
taxpaying, working & contributing
citizen types had enough of Rahm's bullshit?

Are you mad enough to fight back yet?

That's the common denominator that Rahm
and his propeller beanie staffers have war-gamed
you people to...

You're "nice" and you're not like the Catered-To
Constituency.

You won't get mean and mad and tear the skin off
Rahm Emanuel's North Shore shitty ass
like THEY would.

You keep letting Rahm take and take and take
from you some more to keep THEM quiet.

YOU foot the bill for EVERYTHING
and you let Rahm get away with giving

So...

So remember just one year ago Rahm Emanuel took 1.3 million dollars of City funds to use those funds to defend illegal aliens at deportation hearings. These people committed a criminal act by entering the US illegally. But alas we have no money to spend on ambulances and paramedics for our legal tax paying citizens. He does not care if you die because an ambulance was not available. He does care about those illegal aliens and all of the votes that their family and friends can generate. So it all boils down to his personal greed.

Nothing new. Back in my day of being assigned to the projects, we threw many an injured citizen (shootings, beatings, miscarriages, whatever) into our squad and rushed them to the hospital ourselves, because ambulance response was so bad, and this was in the early 90s. We will never have enough ambulances, people. Same thing with cops, we won't see adequate strength of any civilian first responders in this lifetime, Not enough qualified applicants, and the $$$ only go so far. Nothing to see here, move along, and improvise where you must.

This is nothing new. 10 years ago our infant daughter suffered a seizure. We called 911 and within 7-8 minutes a fire truck arrived. The first responders explained the ambulance was sent east and there wasn't an ambulance available to transport our baby. The firefighters started care and administered oxygen (that's all they were equipped to do). We were lucky our daughter regained consciousness and didn't need any other type of medical intervention. An ambulance arrived about another 10 minutes later to rush her to the hospital. . It was a very scary night, I discovered it was scarier when the help we needed wasn't readily available for us (they were pulled from our neighborhood to assist gangbangers involved in a shooting).

Maybe they need the body snatchers permanently assigned to ray "I carry your bags skycap" Lopez barrio ward! Come on ray rifles constantly and your were the bitch saying "we don't want the Feds here to enforce federal laws with tanks rolling down archer!"

Two men were killed in a rifle shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side while five other people were wounded in city gunfire between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

In the fatal attack, the men, both 29, were pronounced dead on the scene in the 2400 block of West 47th Street about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, according to police and law enforcement sources.

More than 20 .223 caliber shell casings, which are typically used in AR-15 rifles, littered the street and sidewalk, sources said. The gunman, who was wearing a mask, jumped out of a gray Toyota Corolla and opened fire before getting back in the car and fleeing east on 47th.

The 29-year-olds were leaving a party and were both affiliated with the Satan Disciples street gang, according to family members at the scene and police.

Thankful no innocent killed, this is great news "pizza for you" at tommys pizza castle! More dirt naps ray your doing something right! God bless the police!

Back in the mid 1980s, I worked at IIT Research Institute at 35th and State. One of the locals in a car on 35th Street got into a disagreement with her boyfriend, who shot her, and pushed her out the door of the car and on to the sidewalk. Our security guard had been a medic in Vietnam in my old division, the First Cav. He rushed out there and started helping her. The paramedics finally showed up, but did not know how to treat a sucking chest wound. They told him to get the hell out of there, and since the paramedics didn't know what they were doing, the woman died. They were black, the victim was black, but the medic was Puerto Rican. He had tears in his eyes when he told me about her unnecessary death. So, even if somebody shows up with an ambulance, they may well not know what they are doing.

Apple shows their apprehension to Rahm for repeat IPhone and ITab sales,
when North Side robbery and mugging victims come in and replace their stolen items.

Healthcare industry thanks Rahm for estimated $500 million that they will bill for treating Chicago's gun shot victims during his first 2 terms as mayor, as Chicago records some 25000 shootings.

Finally a tax payer thanks Rahm for making the streets so unsafe and taking so much of their hard earned money through increases in taxes and services that can't afford to venture from their homes.

Still waiting for those prescreened bullshit priority 9-1-1 calls to happen?
$3.90 a month didn't cover the oemc overtime, but $5 will be a nice start.

LEMART certainly can come in handy, especially when the young tact inspired hardchargers continue to get t-boned responding to phony ghetto shots fired calls.
Saving a citywide beat car and a bambulance just for GSW’s could be Jugghead Special Ed’s next big strategy to be implemented for the upcoming re-election campaign kickoff for Rahm 2019.

First off, every full-of-shit ghetto dweller and prisoner in lock-up seems to be given priority for ambulance rides. This is because they were too lazy to go to their doctor appointment and pick up their prescriptions from the pharmacy, free of charge by the way. The prisoners always have an immediate onset of an alleged ailment once they are arrested.
Secondly, we have the same thing on the police side. The dispatchers constantly read off multiple jobs that are pending with no units available because all units are handling nonsense calls such as "my child disrespected me" and "one of my four babies' daddies won't leave". As they say, "Obama's America and Rahm's city values".

Rahm how many billions of taxpayers money did you offer jeff bezos amazons owner whose personal piggy-bank has 94 billion in it? He has more than bill gates?

This mayor here said no way even though amazon got well over 200 offers to give away taxpayers money:
Mayor to Amazon: You’re offering 50,000 jobs? $5 billion in construction? Thanks, but no thanks

So rahm who approved this? were the taxpayers consulted? Again more taxpayers money literally thrown away and no accountability! They need to prioritize better. A lot of these runs are unnecessary.

They do prioritize. We get sent before CFD on lots of runs. You know...... to see if medical assistance is really needed

They go straoght to the back in a bed by ambulance. No waiting room. Treated like kings and queens while you sit with a worse problem in the emergency waiting room and wont think of treating you till they get your insurance card. Mean time I got a bad case of the shitz is allready being treated after being carried in. And then they start ordering dinner, in between calls on their Sailphone

Plus liability issues. And cost reimbursement. Do you think a private ambulance company would not mind waiting 18 months to get paid?

Suburbs use private ambulance services when the fire protection district is busy. Either private or public ambulance runs cost plenty, usually between 800 and $1000. I don't think Chicago would want to pay that, although they charge that much, and I don't think the suburban ambulance would want to wait months to get paid. Better screening of ambulance requests would help for one. I was in London a few years ago and I was in the hotel when there was a fire alarm. We had to run out and I was forced to wait in the pub across the street practically in my underwear. The fire truck never showed up, but they dispatched a supervisor to see if a fire truck was really needed. I witnessed the same thing occur a week later when a Bobby requested an ambulance on the street. A supervisor showed up first to see if the ambulance was really needed.

They are to busy reviving overdosed idiots. Just let them go, especially if they have need help more than once. Bad decisions have bad outcomes.

Maybe Chicago should see what it costs to use suburban ambulances dispatched by Red Center.

Amazing how those that contribute the least, use and demand the most.

Time to start charging. "Oh, Mr. Alkkjsda, you haven't made any payments from the gunshot you got 2 years ago, if you'll bring your account up to date right now, we can help you with this gunshot. No? Okay, next!"
