This is Funny

Funny "haha" and funny "like a clown:"

Illinois gets a B+ despite Chicago's 720 gunshot deaths, 3,659 gun shot woundings, and a total number of homicides exceeding 800?

And those 10 shaded states - Chicago alone had more murders than any single one of them. Wyoming seldom has 20 murders a year - that's a bad month in Englewood or Lawndale some years. But Wyoming gets an F?

As has been said, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics."

Statistics also show Indiana is the point of origin for many firearms that find their way to Chicago .The Hoosier state received a D grade.
Go figure.

Whoever came up with this chart must’ve hit the medicinal marijuana pretty hard before they sat down for this nonsense. Sadly, our grade is better than our credit rating.

They lie by including suicides.

Unfortunately, White males have a higher than average suicide rate.

If you are having trouble, please ask for help. We need our officers, and the people of the nation appreciate our police.

Well, if you look at it as gun death rates we are a B+. Of the 3,600 shot only 720 died.In Wyoming maybe 95% of them shot were actually killed hence the F.

All on how you spin it.

I'm confused.

I read this as the more deaths the higher the grade......and an A is still higher than an F...........right???

And a fucking B+ is almost an A............

The Progressive Left wants to rule us. They do not want to govern with the consent of us citizens. They need to get rid of guns, so there can be no resistance. Just ask the Soviet Slave-Citizens and the victims of Nazi Germany.

It's pure insanity, that map. Every crappy state, where the worst crime exists, they have the best grades. And all the decent states where you'd actually want to live if given a choice (and job availability) they get D's and F's.

This map is the perfect example of "liberal utopia" in action. They gain control of a certain place, the result is utter failure, they CLAIM success, and then they start working on the next place to "help". Yep, Wyoming, time to really crack down on gun ownership there...where the next cop is 100 miles away... I'll bet you any money Cheyenne and Casper have large section 8 populations, and I'll double the bet and say that 90% of the crime in Wyoming takes place within a one mile radius of these areas.

I'm trying to understand the map since it includes states like Michigan and Maryland both of which have two of the most violent cities in the US Detroit and Baltimore.Michigan has a higher crime rate than Montana and Wyoming both of which have rates visibly below the national average. Also its nice to give an F to states with more lax gun laws and and A to states which have taken measures against gun ownership. It gives you immediately an idea about what agenda the makers of that map have.Talk about unbiased reporting.

This map is useless with out the grade levels shown. For some reason, the genius that created it used "A" for "Authoritarian" and "F" for freedom, with the appropriate words for letters inbetween. I'll try to find the link to the original. If you look at it that way, with "F" for FREEDOM and "A" for AUTHORITARIAN, it makes sense.

People are stupid.

Also, the shaded states were labeled, "States with LOWEST homicide rates." I think someone is screwing with the image and attaching a "USA Today" tag to make them look dumber. No need to resort to this sort of low level crap; these chumps look plenty stupid all on their own.

The USA today operates dishonestly. Always has.

I recall a POLL question showing it.

Does the Second Amendment give you the right to own a gun?

No matter how you answer, its wrong, because the premise is wrong.

If you say yes, you are submitting to the idea rights are a permission from government not Endowed by our Creator. Outcome? Gun Control supported by POLL.

I you say no, you are submitting to the idea that not only can people not have guns but no knives either!

USA today lies in question, in answers and in reportage across the board.

Funny ha ha? Yeah, funny like funny money!

I suspect the stats used in this report are talking about gun death rates, not in absolute number of gun deaths, but in deaths per 100,000 people. I have found that lefties like to use THOSE stats, because it gives their high-population states a pass and they can ignore the fact that the vast majority of those gun deaths occur within a 10 square mile radius.

Wyoming has fewer than 600,000 people in the whole state, and according to a chart I just looked at, they had 19 gun deaths per 100,000 people last year, putting them at #3 on the list. Another chart on the same site is violent crime rate per 100,000 people and on that chart they are #4. Washington, DC leads that chart with 1,269 violent crimes per 100,000 people, with a population of around 700,000. Sounds to me like the rate of gun deaths in Wyoming were not due to homicide. Given the choice, I would rather live in Wyoming than in the place where the politicians rabidly pursue more and more gun control. Heck, they can’t even control their own feral population.

We need a reputable group to conduct an empirically based study that proves the correlation we all know exists: generally, section 8 housing is associated with significant criminal activity. Use the de-centralization of the green and other vertical projects as a case study. They pushed the "residents" into all corners of the midwest (btw, the fact that someone is ready and willing to relocate to another state just to maintain their housing should be the strongest indication that there is no "community" involvement with these "occupiers") and every community in which they landed experienced a huge spike in criminal activites of all classifications.

As much as I hate to admit it, Slutkin does have it right, the criminal activity is very much a public health issue, modeled on a health crises. Only, he's got it wrong. The "people and folks" propagating the violence and quality of life disasters are actually malignant organisms that follow a very predictable pathological process. They are a cancer. Everything about them mirrors the actions of a tumor. And instead of isolating, removing and killing the cancer, we feed it. We encorage it to Metastasis, hell, we actually facilitate it through the evil puppeteers like soros through his useful fools the democrats. And the soft shoe routine of cease fire is like a natural, homeopathic approach when what is needed is a Molotov chemo cocktail.

I hope we can beat the cancer, but i don't know if the body that is our society can overcome the natural and man influenced odds that are stacked against it.

This made me laugh. Since leaving Chicago I have lived in four F States, a D and a C State. I never felt threatened or nervous in any of them (currently reside in an F). However, whenever I visited my parents in Chicago Lawn up through the mid 1990's I was always concerned about physical and property safety. When they moved out of Chicago Lawn in the mid 90's to a western suburb visiting was no longer an anxious time. Living in a "F" state is fine. ex Marquette Park person

These "grades" need to be looked at as how well the "peasants" are controlled by their elitist masters. Then they make perfect sense. Gun control is a good measure of how close any given state is to totalitarian control. If they don't trust the citizens with firearms, they aren't going to trust them with anything else, including an honest vote.

I live in one of the states that received an "F". We had 36 firearm homicides in 2016 including self-defense shootings and officer involved shootings. In reality, he had 28 murders by firearm while subtracting for self-defense and OICs. We have a population of just over 3 million people. How did we make the list with an F? The Austin neighbor in Chicago had 3 or 4 times the number of homicides as my entire state. I am surprised they haven't blamed it on global warming/climate change.

Here is how: The states that received an F all have pro-second amendment firearm laws. There are a lot of pistol packin' folks in my state. It is just our state culture. No one complains about it. We just don't shoot each other like they do in Chicago. The list was made in an attempt to demonize gun owners and pro-second amendment states. It is that simple.

Slightly O/T
But Worth Mentioning:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/health/ct-hiv-felony-california-20171010-story.html

Liberalism/Progessivism IS truly a mental illness.

Criminal Transmission
(Knowingly Infecting Someone With) of HIV
is no longer a felony in California...

So... We see the loony left continually
shitting the bed in California and rendering
it wholly uninhabitable for decent people.

The leftist loons have the utter audacity
to not only flee the stinking mess they
made of that state but they're very
busily gaining a foothold in other
western cities and states in order
to spread their poisonous ideology.

San Francisco, Portland, Seattle...

Cue:

Reports coming out of Phoenix, DFW,
Denver, etc...

The Progressive alliance, now that Hill-Dog
has lost, don't dare tread in Montana,
Wyoming, Idaho and maybe Utah but the whisper
is that the Mormons are losing their mojo
as the older generations die off and the
youngsters are more accepting of "diversity."

The Deep South?

The democrat-controlled urban centers are
dens of progressive iniquity.

Action has to be taken at the state level
to keep them contained and destroy their
influence beyond their city limits if
decent and law abiding people are to
ever live in peace, quiet and relative
safety.

The Northeast, North-Central (Great Lakes Region)
and Upper Mid-West are ruined beyond rescue
or care unless the upright and law abiding
band together and take up the gun and the
bullet box to re-take the ballot box from
the hateful, treasonous, nation-wrecking
big-city progressives who hide behind their
politically weaponized catered-to constituents
who make up the "Free Shit Army."

Who made this map? What was the criteria used in grading the states? What is the motive, political, social, or anti gun agendas? Lastly, what's the fucking point?????????? The point, anti gun nuts trying to take guns away, then control the people who are unarmed. With people having guns, they fucking know its impossible to control the masses. It this map doesn't convince coppers and there family members to join the NRA, then its really the end.

The chart makes perfect sense if you look at it the right way.

This chart is done by an anti-gun group. They don't want citizens to have guns at all.
That's why it looks the way it does. The states that have Constitutional carry are lowest rated. While states that screw over gun owners are given favorable ratings.

Remember that suicides dominate so-called "gun deaths". Where people have access to guns, they become a more popular choice for suicide. Once you control for social isolation and access to psychiatric care in rural areas, any correlation with overall suicide rates vanishes, of course. That's why they use "gun deaths" as a metric instead of murders, suicides, or even firearm homicides.

Looks a lot like the maps that Handgun Control Inc. used to 'award' states for strictness of their gun laws?

Someone might want to do a deeper dive into states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio and localize the grades. I would bet a dollar to a donut that the "gun deaths" are clustered in areas such as Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids (MI), Milwaukee (Wisc), Minneapolis / St Paul (MN), and Cleveland (OH). There is a another distinct characteristic of all of those cities - the population of "roving Amish youth" (ahem.) Think there might be a correlation?
