Rahm Discovers More Money!

  • Mayor Rahm Emanuel will dedicate about $27.4 million to Chicago Police reform in his 2018 budget proposal, as the city continues rehabbing the beleaguered department’s image in the wake of the Laquan McDonald shooting scandal and a scathing Justice Department probe.

“With this investment, the city of Chicago is making a down payment on police reform,” Emanuel said in a statement Friday, less than a week before his annual budget address to the City Council.

The $24 million jump in funding compared to last year is set aside for “enhanced training, reform implementation, officer wellness and community policing,” according to the mayor’s office, which didn’t specify where the funding will come from, other than to say it’s part of the city’s full spending package.
$24 million appearing out of thin air should make anyone paying attention ask a lot of questions.

The Daley-Emanuel death spiral continues.

And as soon as fatty defeats RINO Rauner, we will 100% Democrat controlled again - state, county and city - and can speed up the race to the bottom.

Yes reforming the dept will bring the shootings and crime down so that no one will ever get shot especially whilst standing on the El platform. Once the community feels a more honest and trustworthy connection with the police the local gang bangers will cease “bangin”. Our pension money in crises but reform, body cameras, and new use of force guidelines are the key.

This guy is the king of deflection and slight of hand moves.

This money will be pissed away to faith based groups, phony community groups and some gangbanger groups. How dare this little weasel suggest the police need rehabbing and reform when it is him who needs reform after what he did after that shooting. And what's it all about? It's about a greedy corupt little man trying to win votes. This guy is just plain old evil.

There are no books to audit. He has a secret money tree on roof of city hall. Tree grows plenty of pet project money but no pension money.

Enhanced training? Are you fucking high? How about we worry about providing some bare minimum training to begin with and we can see how that goes. Although if we're going to be honest with ourselves, with the lack of standards on this department even "enhanced training" would be bare minimum on most departments. After all we gotta make sure nobody fails.

Okay. Let me get this straight. Chicago doesn't have enough money to hire more cops but there is enough money to retrain the ones we have so they don't cause bodily harm to the criminals inflicting bodily harm, and more, to innocent victims. Is that the narrative?
I feel like we're in a sick, twisted episode of The Twilight Zone.

Rahm doesn’t give a shit about our underfunded pension fund.... he never has had any intent of properly funding it.

Ah yes, transparency Chicago style!!!

Just do it. Let him reform the Police Department, abide by ridiculous "use of force" policies, spend your whole shift writing up a report on a barking dog or some other frivolous citizen complaint, (cat stuck in a tree, etc.) you know, to protect yourself and the department from ACLU lawsuits, let the Mayor have everything, (he's already got most of your pensions), and when the city hits bottom, and there is no more money to protect criminals and illegal aliens, everyone will vote Republican and then blame him/her for all the cities problems.

But stay safe Officers. Going home after every shift is your most important goal. There should be no politics in any law enforcement agency, but they have forced their way in and they don't care about you. Stay Safe!

Looking like those multimillion dollar football players will be looking for other employment soon this is great news for people that are pro American pro military and most of all pro law and order;

Backlash: Week 6 of the NFL Reveals Several Nearly Empty Stadiums As Fans Continue to Leave the League
The NFL likely hoped for a return to normalcy for Week 6, especially after Commissioner Goodell’s call to “move past the anthem controversy,” and address the issue in detail at league meetings on Tuesday. Instead, what the NFL got was a return to what has become the “new normal” in the age of anthem protests: empty seats.
Throughout the league, stadiums could be seen with thousands of empty seats at kickoff, and, in some cases in the middle of the gam

Note, that the Jets played New England on Sunday, meaning there should have been a big crowd for that game. The Texans, Atlanta, and Baltimore are also very relevant teams with relatively loyal fan bases. Yet, thousands upon thousands of fans no-showed or didn’t buy tickets for those games.

Here’s a shot of the Jaguars stadium at kickoff:

Granted, this is Jacksonville and they’ve never really packed the house. Yet, even by Jaguars standards, that’s empty. The fact that those same levels of emptiness can be seen at other stadiums throughout the league, means that the fan backlash against the NFL has now turned

I'm done with this line of work. I expect to retire this month or next. 20 and out friends. That's about all a sane person can take. I'm heading to higher ground. As soon as my house sells we are out of this sanctuary city where crime runs rampant and they blame the police for everything that the politicians have created. It will take Generations to fix this, and I just cant wait around for that to happen.
