More Money for Rats

  • Vowing to step up the city's efforts get Chicago's exploding rat population under control, Mayor Rahm Emanuel Friday proposed spending an additional $1 million to get rid of the disease-ridden vermin.

That budget boost will allow the city to add five crews of workers charged with reducing the number of disease-ridden critters scurrying through Chicago's streets and alleys, officials said. That will bring the number of rat control crews to 30 in 2018, officials said.

In the spring of 2016, the city had eight rat control crews, records show.
Rahm had slashed the Rat Patrol in an effort to balance the books that Shortshanks had left so far out of whack, that Shanks had to retire rather than face defeat or indictment. Rats however, just keep on doing what they do best - breeding and spreading disease, and now Rahm is stuck spending far more than he should have (or actually has) controlling a problem that was, by most accounts, controlled.

But remember, Police Overtime is the driving force behind all that is politically inconvenient.

The rats are a plague upon Rahm for being defiant
to the Feds on the Sanctuary City status.
In addition to a major city that Rahm cannot manage,
he's got a rat problem on top of it.
Forget all about that Amazon bullshit. They want to
shake a city down for all they can. Once they move
in, they turn the city into a one horse company town
which causes problems of its own. Better off without
them.

I live in the Philippines and have two dogs, Joey and Fluffy who enjoy hunting and killing rats. Need to discuss this with the wife, but I am sure that we could sell the dogs to Chicago for $100,000. They don't eat much, mostly rice and scrap chicken parts (heads, necks, etc) so all you would need to do would be to provide them with rations, a place to hunt and shelter. Oh, and Joey does not like loud bangs. A thundershirt may be required for him.

Disclaimer; I do not know if this is true, but I personally believe it.
I have been told that the rats are feeding on dog waste. The high protein dog food, that many dogs are being fed, goes right through their digestive systems. The dog is walked, and its waste is packaged by the dog walker. The waste is then deposited in whatever trash can that is available. It lays there waiting for pick up by the neighborhood, four legged rats. Super high protein food, for Super rats!

Listed folks, anyone can see Ben and the rats are winning. I head someone in a radio article talking about rats the size of opossum running around the street. The city has to buy a half million dollars worth of new trash carts to replace those destroyed by rats. They have to add five more groups of people at Streets and San. at one $mil to deal with rats. We use dry ice to kill them in their "holes". The rats are winning and the city is on the run. Or overrun if you prefer. This is not news. We have known it for years. Get out while you can before the plague begins anew next summer. That folks is their secret weapon against us. We get sick and we die I tell you.

The Rahm Clown can't even fight two legged crime, trying to outsmart a rodent is a lot more sophisticated.
But Trust Me Cholly will give extermination (he calls it humane) a junior varsity try...because last years attempt didn't work.
Like his Police career, the Sts& San legacy will carry on to failure.
How about cleaning up the garbage first and educate the populous about litter.
CPS should be teaching Sanitation and Hygiene farther than the phony unproven nonexistent black box fairytale.

To think Rahm gave $1,000,000 so far, to fund Illegal Alien Sanctuary ID Cards, taking it from the Taxpaying homeowners.
And don't forget, the CPS Board voted to raise taxes to try and pay down their 2% pension obligations.
It doesn't end with the rat infestation.
Typical democrat problem solving, treating the symptom and not the disease.
May as well burn the money because it's going into the wrong hands.

That completely true, the neighbor had a cat that was a rat killer. The cat got sick and the Vet said, it must have eaten a mouse that was poisoned. The cat died in three days. So the Dry Ice is a much better method for all concerned. I do like the story of the Cooper Hawks, it must of been and interesting sping and summer watching the nesting activities.
