Imagine if we instituted this in Chicago - crime would really start to drop off:
- A former 911 operator in Houston has admitted hanging up on emergency calls "because she did not want to talk to anyone at that time."
Supervisors at the Houston Emergency Center discovered that operator Crenshanda Williams, 43, had been involved with thousands of calls lasting 20 seconds or less. The incidents occurred between October 2015 and March 2016, reports KPRC.
Williams has been charged with a misdemeanor for interference with an emergency phone call. If convicted, she could face a year in jail and a $4,000 fine for each count.
They've connected her to at least one death and countless other non-answers by police due to her just hanging up on 911 callers. Seems like she fit into Rahm's and Special Ed's style flawlessly.

Hmmm, sounds like Crenshaunda got her previous experience in a corporate call center. I worked in and with financial services call centers for 35 years and met a lot of Crenshaundas during that time. They are logged into their phones like they are supposed to be, but when calls come through the headset they either pretend they aren't on the line until the customer hangs up, or they stay on the line for 10 - 20 seconds, saying nothing, and then press the "end call" button. In the meantime they sit at their desks reading magazines or doing their nails or surfing the internet.
BTW, I fired these people on the spot when I caught them, but that never seemed to stop the next person from doing it. Of course, in a corporate call center nobody died. If Creshaunda did not want to deal with 911 calls, she shouldn't have applied for the job in the first place.

For the past 50yrs I've seen this type of person(s) working for the government, U.S. Postoffice, Police, Fire Department(s), home nursing, and lately driving trucks. I've observed a bunch of these new truck drivers not giving a shit and driving like crazy people. I go out of my way to get the telephone number off the truck and call the company to let them know about a reckless driver. On more then one occasion after calling the trucking company, they followed up and told me I was not the only one who called about the negligent driving and they fired him/her. Don't just do nothing, call and complain, because you know they would drop a dime in a NY second and complain about you. Two can play the same game and that's what I've been doing and it seems like it working.

Dunno about Houston affirmative action in action but here in Shitcity Chicago I had to call 911 twice in last 2 years for fire Ems and when the 911 operator tried connecting me to the fireside the phone rang 15 and 19 times before an OEMC fire operator picked up... And in the first incident I had to explain the location (an intersection) three fucking times... these are the people now being hired for public safety and police fire. And no physical agility tests. Unreal.
Sounds like every Comcast employee I've dealt with.
What a great concept. Good way to fudge the numbers and say crime is down cause we're dispatching less calls for service. Yep, sounds like something that would fit right in with Shit-cago Rahm values.

Just let her be she was just doing her job and filtering all the b.s. Calls that you shouldn't send police on. Examples: group home missing, disturbance with a mental, retail theft, landlord & tenant disputes, and parking disturbances. Make her a deputy chief in Chicago.
