Shooting

  • A 19-year-old man was fatally wounded late Wednesday after a police sergeant said the man pointed a gun in his direction, but a grid search Thursday morning failed to uncover a weapon, officials said.

"We were not able to locate a weapon as of yet,'' said Chicago police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, who briefly made remarks about the shooting at a 1 p.m. news conference at headquarters. “We have some missing information in our timeline,’’ Johnson said.
Now comes the part where we mention that everyone should wait until the investigation takes its course, that judgement should be reserved, that there are dozens of situations where it is completely justified to shoot an unarmed assailant, like this jagoff in California:

And of course, the media ignores this all and starts interviewing the usual assholes, including the Jamal character who supposedly has told people he received upwards of $20,000 from Kimesha Foxx to protest, agitate and promote disorder.

Jamal said on the news that he has no confidence in Special Ed
I thought Special Ed was supposed to bridge these gaps with the community
Let's see he has his personal cell phone number meets with him once a month ... and that's still not enough???!!!
Just another example of giving these savages way too much and their starting to see it's never enough! They always want more and will never be happy

Gee no gun? Probably picked up by some POS on the scene and handed off to another POS, leaving the sergeant to now dangle in the wind of public opinion. More protests to come, just in time for Christmas shopping on the Mag Mile.

The Sgt did a good job in an unfortunate situation. The guy tossed the gun near a group of thugs as he was running who we believe took the gun. After going back to the location where the gun was thrown the group of thugs was nowhere to be found and the gun couldn't be located.

Yesterday, Thanksgiving, CBS and WBBM couldn't wait to report, 'Family: 19-year-old killed by Chicago Police had No Gun.'

Idiots interviewed family who deny their darlin', Kajuan Raye had a gun.

Report states: Activists are outraged. Witnesses say the police sergeant is white; Raye was black.

“Police said that he had a gun,” Activist Ja’Mal Green said. “I’m tired of the same narrative being pushed on every situation.”

Green said that in a phone call with Johnson, he demanded the immediate suspension of the sergeant, but said Johnson told him he was not ready to take that step.

Another activist, Eric Russell, said he was “outraged” by the shooting.
“They’re being judge, jury and executioner,” Russell said. “We demand to be respectfully engaged.”

Article ends stating the 'family' hired an attorney.

Who does Green think he is, ordering Johnson to fire the sergeant? FK him, CBS and WBBM.

Foot chases will and should be banned for all misdemeanors and narcotics.
The reward is overwhelmingly not worth the risk.

Here's a better idea, DON'T even bother w these type of BS calls. Just cut if paper if needed or code the call. I understand it's a tough situation to be in responding but you see the current climate. It's really not worth it right now. Hoping the time will come to go back to being proactive

If this theft of the weapon does not find it's way into a press release by the Superintendent, terminate all foot chases. That's what they want anyway. It's not worth trying to do the right thing by protecting shithole neighborhoods that turn on you. Let the residents figure it out. They sure know how to figure out causing an uproar stealing a criminal's gun, so deal with your own problems jagoffs.

The whole reason criminals with guns run from the police is so they can either get away or ditch the gun. If you're chasing someone who stole a purse, he'll ditch the purse. If you're chasing someone who stole a car, they bail and distance themselves from the car. If you're chasing someone with drugs, they ditch the drugs. This is all common sense. People with guns take off running, hand the gun off, toss it on a roof, in a yard, in a garbage can, down a sewer, etc. Him not having a gun at the end of the chase is no surprise and does nothing to prove whether he had a gun during the chase. Good luck to the Sgt and anyone else involved. Not trying to second guess anyone here, and I wish we could still do the right thing, but stop chasing people. Unless your family or the police are the victim, let the criminal disappear. Maybe some good detective and/or forensics work will land him in jail eventually. Either way, this is not the environment to be proactive in. It does no good and has too much potential to go horribly wrong for any officer involved. Let them beat each other, rob each other, shoot each other, etc. Not our problem anymore. Sorry to the good citizens out there, but the risks are too great now. Arm yourselves, defend yourselves, and don't rely on the police to help you. The sad reality is that we often can't. That's the new world we live in... and it's only getting worse.

Maybe things will get better after Obama is evicted. Until that day, if it ever comes, stay fetal.
