One shooting, just before 8:20 p.m. Friday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, left one man dead and wounded six other people. It was the largest number of people shot in one attack in Chicago since 13-year-old Samuel Walker was killed and six others were wounded in an attack in Lawndale on July 25, 2014....

Hey Jackass does a good job, but their numbers are short.
They get their shooting/homicide numbers by adding up shooting/homicide stories covered by the various media outlets, however NOT ALL agg batts & homicides are covered by the media. 'Many times, especially on busy nights, shootings and homicides are missed.
How do I know this?? I have been working VC for a long time-far too long, actually, and have investigated NUMEROUS shootings and homicides not covered by the media.
There is only one true measure of homicides:the number of 0110 RD#'s genetated, as well as the various agg batt UCR codes.
I cannot say exactly where the 0110's are because it will be easy for the city to figure out who I am. Let's say I post the actual number is 617...all the city has to do is see who looked up the 0110's when it was at 617 and then generate a blanket cr#.
I will say this...both homicides and agg batts are MUCH higher than on hey jackass.

It's sad to say, but we were at Roosevelt and Independence and heard four shots north from our location. I we looked at each other and just drove off going west bound to a domestic call. We're not too worried about getting hurt, but more like getting striped by Special Eddie. About an hour later we learned two were shot at that location. The good thing, the domestic was a 19-Paul and we went to lunch.
