Biggest Probe Ever!

  • The federal probe into the Chicago Police Department is ongoing, but results could come soon, US. Attorney Zachary Fardon said Monday. “We’re not done yet, but we’re working at a record pace,” Fardon told the City Club of Chicago.

In December, the U.S. Justice Department launched an expansive investigation into the “patterns and practices” of the CPD.

“I believe what we are going through now with CPD was inevitable and essential,” he said.

“We’ve analyzed tons of data, interviewed tons of witnesses, held public forums, conducted ride-alongs with patrol officers, reviewed CPD policies and procedures, scrutinized CPD training, conferred with top experts across the country,” the prosecutor said. “This is the largest pattern and practices investigation in the history of the Department of Justice.”
Just a place-holder article from CBS reminding everyone that something is happening, even if there isn't anything fresh to fan the anti-police flames.

Yawn... The RAHmulin already has been told what he will be forced to do so he is buying cameras and hiring more police.

More bosses also will be placed and plenty of recording of every damn thing any street officer does.

The beat officers will suffer like never before with GPS,in car cameras ,body cameras and nonsense contact cards. All of the above will lead to the New ipra OR copa firing officers over clerical errors to seem like they actually are solving CPD problems.

Nothing will be done about downgrading crimes or nepotism in promotions.

Hey Zach let us know how you like us when your done and homicides reach 1,000 next year. If this city honestly thought the worst was behind them wait till next year when coppers truly understand its not just about taking your livelihood away its now about taking your freedom too.

Just remember, you can't get in trouble for documenting the rise of crime. But you can lose your livelihood, and freedom for being proactive.

Had the Dept of Justice ever NOT found a city they investigated to "have a pattern of systematic racial profiling"?
Need to Justify the funds and their existence. They need to investigate why Eric Holder wasnt held accountable for Fast and Furious
Or look into all Impeccably timed deaths related to the Clintons.

Zach, may I suggest you are another tool? The problem is not the CPD but rather the CPD is the RESULT of the problem. The problem that has manifested itself in the CPD starts with the Cook County Democratic Party. It is politics and corrupt politicans and people that are the problem. Go ahead and focus on the police and leave the rest alone. You will continue to fool the stupid people and the rest who see the problem with Rahm, Preckwinkle, Madigan, both the black and latino factions of the party. At the end of the day and when the camera lights are off, you are another political tool appointed by the same politicans who are the problem and worse of all, you work for a political hack at the DOJ in Washington DC. So pardon us if we are not all warm and fuzzy with your silly remarks. You hard chargers better stop, think and reason as to what the gound game is now. Just respond to your calls and when you onview, think and do not go into the mode that was trained into you. That is where your trouble will start and you will find yourself without friends. Why in the world would any policeman do anything pro active that would subject him or her to the unwanted consequences? What is wrong with you Zach?

Lets review the DOJ
Holder lied to Congress and failed to investigate the IRS or Benghazi
Mueller did not investigate the Benghazi attack even though News media identified the offenders. Did not investigate IRS retired and was given a lucrative BS investigation.
Lynch let Hillary off the hook after leaving a secret meeting with her husband,
Comey let Hillary off the hook after getting a million from Lockhead.,, a Clinton Foundation donor and his brother does the taxes for the Clinton Foundation.
Don't Worry Folks....its all lagit

Please, DOJ, no rush here, slow down and do a thorough job. Your'e here, so do it right. For God's sake make sure you fully examine the pattern and practice of how promotional exams are administered here. We have people in top jobs that were given the answer to the test. They were to fucking stupid to pass the test on their own, and now they run the show.

We can never be a legitimate Police Department as long as this Illegal practice continues. It is fraud and corruption that flies in the face of everything the DOJ is supposed to stand for. If the DOJ is serious about reform, it must start there. If the DOJ ignores the obvious criminal activity perpetrated by sworn Police Officers, they are waisting there time, and are part of the problem.

STOP THE CHEATING.

There is an excellent book out on the US Justice Dept. review of LAPD, " Los Angeles Police Department Meltdown. The Fall of the Professional Model of Policing". I believe it will tell you exactly where the CPD will be going in the future. And, for those of you who used to like being a cop, you won't like this. You will be more of a community activist/baby-sitter then the police. Publisher is CRC Press.

When the finding come out and are item by item shown to be biased and baseless due to their one-sided questioning and analysis, it will be just like any other report issued by this administration, a waste of time and money, oh yeah, anti-police.
You know they're in trouble when their US attorney (no cap intended) states, "We’ve analyzed tons of data, interviewed tons of witnesses, held public forums, . . ." The FBI doesn't use Chicago's statistics because of how corrupted they are. What makes how the DOJ interprets these numbers, what, we are lawyers and see through the bullshit. No, the DOJ refuses to deal with the main issue of black on black killings and crime like it's the police fault.
- how many "witnesses"
- how many public forums
- how many ride along
- what "top" experts (from the DOJ?)

Hey Zach - you're a bigger clown than Loretta Lynch or Eric Holder. Have you even bothered looking into the Lie-tenants Exam? Or did the federal Nobility tell you to leave our even dumber local Nobility alone? Only a moron would use a CPD computer to distribute the exam and that person thinks that Milwaukee is a state! If you hope to have any credibility with the real CPD - go after the Lie-tenants as well as their "mentors". An indictment of a couple gold stars will go a long way to eliminate the notion that you're only going after patrolmen or sergeants.
