A Good Deed

  • Two Chicago Police Officers helped a woman in need Tuesday after a call came in that she was wandering around her neighborhood for hours.

Officer Haro and Officer McDonald found the woman, who was lost and disoriented, near the intersection of 95th and Halsted. When they asked her if she needed help getting home, they realized she was non-verbal, so they started writing on a piece of paper to ask her questions.

They discovered that her home was just a few blocks away and helped her walk back home. At her house, the officers noticed that she lived alone and that she had very little food, so they made a run to a local grocery store to stock her pantry and fridge out of their own pockets.

The officers said that when they came back with the food, they were thanked with tears and a hug from the woman, before they went on to their next job.
Very well done Officers.

Don't care about the cover-my_a__ tape Rahm plays every heat wave. "Cooling centers," etc. Who is gonna pack up all their s__t, wallet, ID, money, meds, etc, for days at a time, drag their walker or wheelchair out, and heave onto three buses into some wild-ass dangerous area and sit on some crappy bench to go home again in a few hours...after dark? Sick, exhausted, need O2, etc.

Lucky if they can get to their own bathroom. Major excursion, with lots of prayers, on a good day.

The quiet old people are the ones who die during these things.

This can't be true??? All you Chicago Police hate blacks. The lady is just lucky she didn't get shot. Or maybe the cops didn't shoot her because she's not a young black male. THEN!!...the story would be different.

Isn't that right Rahm? Right Father Flakey? Right president Sparklefarts? Right 'Black Lies Murder'!...you race-bating simpleton assholes!

Actually, it sounds like these officers aren't dumbfucks. They most likely informed the dispatcher what they were doing. They probably realize that the main reason for you to inform the dispatcher when you change locations is for YOUR SAFETY. They probably know that it doesn't hurt to get on the air and explain that you're changing locations, or to explain where you're going and why. You, on the other hand, sound like the type who rides a bullshit disturbance for 45 minutes to an hour, driving around aimlessly, without ever thinking to clear from the job until called out by the dispatcher or a supervisor. You're the type that complains about not getting an official lunch, complains about a backlog, complains about having to handle a call on someone else's beat, complains about getting a late job, complains about everything possible, without ever once realizing that you caused all the problems you complain about. If you handle the bullshit jobs in a timely manner, clear when done, inform the dispatcher where you are, etc., there won't be a backlog, there won't be late jobs waiting to be assigned, you'll get your lunch, along with the lunch you had without ever going down on it, you'll be safer, your coworkers will be safer. You won't believe or understand any of this though. Everyone else is the problem. Those mean supervisors are just targeting you and messing with you. You should be able to do whatever you want. You're the police. Nope, you're just a selfish crybaby bitch.

I'm retired NYPD Here's something for you guys. PS I lived in Lombard (1976-1977)

Abused and Amused
What do WE want? DEAD COPS When do WE want them? NOW!!!!” She vehemently screamed; Pointing directly at the old hairbag cop with about 30 years on the job, standing behind a police barrier only a few feet away.

The cop recalls the orders dictated to his Sergeant by the Captain and then dictated to him by his Sergeant before they were dispatched to this post:

“The NYPD is instructing officers to passively endure abuse from groups exercising their constitutional right to protest. Take NO action unless directed by competent authority.”

“Same shit, different day.”

The cop decided to amuse himself by checking out the crowd that gathered on this beautiful afternoon in City Hall park.

Some of these assholes were the same professional provocateurs from the protests he worked over the years. The cop waved a recognition hello to some from the 1986 squatter anarchists. He remembered them from the Lower East Side before it was a trendy neighborhood. They refused to acknowledge him.

“Like I give a shit” he mumbled to himself. “So much for community policing.”

But Little Vickie, in her Che Gueverra tee shirt and black beret with the red star pin flashed the cop her toothless smile and waved as well. She was a 65 year old left over hippie who lived on East 3rd Street with her boyfriend Claudio. Claudio was an aging, leftover hippie anarchist douche bag. He was not at the protest. The cop knew Claudio was bedridden with COPD, but was there in the spirit of the revolution!

The cop was loving this was pure overtime, his flat feet would hurt a bit, but he still thought, it was worth it.

His attention finally drifted back to his young blonde tormentor, who he had tuned out for a while.

“Miss Social Warrior” kept on viscously screaming. ”Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon” targeting the old hair bag cop by moving closer and getting directly into his face with even more hateful vitriol.

She probably was out to prove to her “friends of color” she was capable of exorcising her white privilege demons.

“YOU personally relish the historically systematic abuse of citizens with you acts of police brutality! "

"Do YOU enjoy harassing the people of our diverse community?”

The old hairbag cop then amazingly had an out of body experience. He was channeling Sergeant Frankie Neptune! Sgt. Neptune was his first squad sergeant back in 1985 when the old hairbag cop was a rookie in the 9th Pct.

Sgt. Neptune was a unique individual, to say the least.

Involuntarily and quite amazingly, The old hairbag cop yawned, smiled, and with a classic bit of Sgt. Neptune sarcasm, looked directly into Miss Social Warrior’s eyes and said:

“Occasionally.”

OT -- From farther down the blog...

"Word from Forest Park is that this past week, someone rigged a live grenade to one of the doors of their police station. It is being downplayed by some as being nothing more than some kind of weapon turn-in but it was in fact set as a booby trap. Still no word or mention of it in the news. Does anybody else (suburban coppers maybe) have any info on this?

Grenade discovery prompts evacuation of village hall
Mayor Calderone: Man found weapon in basement of his new home

Monday, July 18th, 2016 3:56 PM

"A Forest Park resident who found a grenade in the basement of his new home brought the weapon into the Forest Park Police Department, Monday afternoon, prompting officials to evacuate the building and the neighboring village hall building.

"Police also closed off Desplaines Avenue from Jackson Boulevard to Madison Street, while the Cook County Bomb Squad came to remove the grenade, according to Forest Park Mayor Anthony Calderone.

"The street was reopened about 3 p.m. The incident lasted no longer than an hour, Calderone said.

"He said the resident and new homeowner found the grenade, "thinking the right thing to do was to bring it to the police department."

"He said the police recommend that if such objects are discovered to "call the police and let us get the necessary responders."

"There was no ill intent on the part of the owner," Calderone said, adding that the police evacuated employees of both buildings and kept pedestrians off the street near the police department but did not find it necessary to evacuate nearby residences."

Done it, and seen it many , so many times before video, etc. Life is short and helping others is a true blessing. I could care less about color. These poor seniors are prey for the evil lurking all around this city. Seniors, were never fucked with and the mutts were put on firm notice. More so, I went to find their son' and they gave thanks and a few of these jag off' messing with the senior ended up walking with limps for life or worse after their son' paid them a visit. Old school folks took care of the hood of years ago. The punks hurt a kid, there was big shit to pay.
The old generation of that thinking have passed.
I had been helped from getting my ass handed to me a few times working alone, if it were not for the majority of the residents in the old hoods, I was SOL'ed.
The folks in their 60' that still reside in these hoods will wake up one day and take care of these two bit jag off'. Old timers know how to run silent out on the streets.

Too many spoiled brats on 3rd watch in 022, children of police officers who think they know it all. The Sgt you are talking about is one of the few Supv's who will call you out for your bulls*%t, turning the other direction on hot jobs, laying down, not backing people up. 90% of the watch lazier than horses&%t. I get not being proactive these days, but not backing up your fellow officers is unexcuseable.
