It Pays to be Connected

Just to refresh everyone's memory:

After being cleared by a Cook County judge (who found that she was connected to the Vrdolyak and Joyce political organizations), she was brought up on Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission charges and the day of reckoning has arrived!
  • Ms. Naughton, who was licensed in 2008, was suspended for 30 days. During a time when employed as an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney, she entered a retail store with a companion after consuming alcohol. She engaged in disruptive behavior both inside and outside of the store. Police who were called to the scene handcuffed her and placed her in a police SUV. Thereafter, she repeatedly identified herself as an Assistant State’s Attorney and swore at a female officer, calling her derogatory names, and, after she was taken out of the SUV, sat on a curb screaming obscenities. The suspension is effective on October 13, 2015.
Wow....30 days. You don't see a hammer like that come out very often.

A little more than disruptive wasn't it? Was this the one with a battery to the store owner?

Wonder if she learned her lesson or if she's stlll a drunk.
I'm guessing she still dips into the sauce so maybe we will see a sequel.

Only 30 days... a P.O. would have been fired for this. Drunk (which is against the rules and regs) and using derogatory language.. you get fired and get to sue to get your job back.. must be nice.. 30 days... B.S.

She should have been disbarred. She was fired a long time ago by the State's Attorney.

Actually, that is quite true. It's almost an act of God to get any attorney disciplined.

That is just a reminder as to how low our value as Police officers are to many in society and politics....keep your heads up things may change in about 100 years.

How come she's not rotting alive in a jail cell?

A Copper most certainly would be.

Has she been civilly sued yet?

A Copper most certainly would have been.

Has the media been ordered to run this footage
in order to separate Cook County state's attorneys
from public good will?

If it were a Copper, as sure as the Sun raises up from the East
and lays down toward the West...

Her young, tender pampered ass got off waaayyyy too easy.
She doesn't have a media driven lynch-mob on her front steps clamoring
for her to be "held responsible" and dropped through a scaffold trap-door
with a noose around her neck because she "swore an oath."

"WAH! She's been punished enough already!"

This child and her "supporters" have no clue as to what
real "punishment" is.

She'll be allowed to piece her life back together
because she ISN'T a Cop...

Right?

A legal system of lawyers, by lawyers for lawyers. They make the blue code of silence a kid's game.

Should we really be surprised?

If you want crime to pay become a lawyer.

Traditionally, any discipline action over 30 days may prevent her eventual ascendance to a judicial appointment. So be nice to her,she may be ruling over your divorce or voluntary manslaughter trial.`Cook County is somewhat forgiving when it comes to certain things.
