So a Priest and a Rabbi...

Supporting our Chaplains Ministry:
  • Join Rabbi Moshe Wolf and Fr. Dan Brandt for happy hour on Tuesday, 11 AUG, 5:30 - 8:00, at O'Brien's on North and Wells in Old Town.  FREE VALET PARKING!  RSVP needed.  A tax-deductible $50 donation to Police Chaplains Ministry gets you unlimited food/drink and goes to a great cause supporting our ministry and our work with Gold Star Families!
Speaking of Gold Star Families.... this Sunday (02 AUG) is a Blue Mass at Resurrection Parish (Nelson and Francisco in 014).  It's at 11:15 a.m., and right after Mass we will dedicate a newly-erected statue outside the church honoring St. Michael the Archangel, patron of police.  Join our Knights of Columbus, our CPD Honor Guard, the Mounted Unit, and hundreds of others in remembering our fallen officers.  Uniforms optional.
    More info at www.ChicagoPCM.org
See you there. We'll be the ones in disguise

Hey Fr. Brandt: Can you advise Archbishop Cupich NOT to go on a ride-along with Supt. Garry? If the Archbishop REALLY wants to see what's happening - have him ride with the WORKING Police or with you or Rabbi Wolfe. The only positive that would result from riding with Garry is that he could hear Garry's confession - starting w/ all the McCompstat and Manpower lies.

And lest we forget - Thank You Chicago Police Chaplains for all your work. i remember as a rookie the small card that had all the Chaplain' s phone #'s. The card fit in the plastic sleeve on the inside of our "round crown" hat. Those numbers came in handy since it was the pre-computer/cell phone days.

It's about time we remove all religious types of positions at the police department. How many do we have and at what salaries? Complete waste of money and time. You want to talk to someone about your imaginary friends do it on your own time and money.

Rabbi Wolf what s great guy. I remember back in the day Rabbi Wolf was about to be a robbery victim but instead turned the tables on the offender and beat the shit out of him. Rabbi Wolf never has a bad word for any policeman.

P.S., The reason that the particular venue at North/Wells was again utilized this year was because the gracious owners of O'Briens again volunteered their location and services.
Thank you Fr. Dan and Rabbi Moshe for doing God's Work on our behalf.

Think that was Rahm posting?
I would pay to see the father and rabbi conduct a exorcism of our beloved mayor! At least have a talk with him and let him know that he is going to hell if he doesn't knock off his evil treatment of people that did nothing wrong to him! Somehow I don't think there could be enough holy water to do the job!!!

Park in 018's lot and see if a van can shuttle people back and forth. They used to be vans in that lot. I know of at least one Lt who would gladly do that.

Hire a lawyer and file a Federal lawsuit. At least Madeline Murray O'Hare had the balls to go public and identify herself and file a lawsuit.

You know what? Our chaplains will be there for even a miserable prick like you should the need ever arise.

Signed,
An atheist who appreciates the good work our chaplains do.

Sounds like a great event for a terrific cause. And to the guy who thinks the Rabbi and the Priest are paid by the department, they're NOT. That's why they host benefits like this, goof! And that's why so many of us support them wholeheartedly.
