More Circus Act

  • A Cook County judge Thursday raised the possibility of allowing only audio coverage at the upcoming trial of a Chicago police commander on charges he shoved a gun into a suspect's throat and threatened to kill him.

Judge Diane Cannon tentatively set trial for Cmdr. Glenn Evans on Aug. 5.

The news media had asked to allow TV cameras and still photographers at Evans' trial as part of a test that is now in its sixth month at the Leighton Criminal Court Building at 26th Street and California Avenue.
The usual objections:
  • At a hearing Thursday, Cannon said 14 possible witnesses objected to the in-court coverage, many of them because they said they worked undercover at times and didn't want their identities revealed.

The judge suggested that audio-only coverage may be a workable alternative but said she was not at this point ruling out allowing cameras at the trial.
And of course...:
  • ....a Tribune analysis of internal Police Department records showed dozens of citizen complaints had been filed against Evans over a recent 8 1/2-year period. From January 2006 to July 2014 — a period in which Evans was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant and then commander — he amassed 36 complaints in all, far more than anyone else of his rank and exceeded by only 34 officers in the entire 12,000-strong department. He was never disciplined for any complaints, the records show.
Imagine that.

How in the fuck can you justifiably "discipline" a Policeman
just because he has complaints?

Motherfuckers WILL LIE because the Police have cause to be
all up in that ass like cheap toilet paper.

When the department went to sworn affidavits, they said they were
going to take it hard to the lying serial beefers.

Just as Policemen with multiple complaints have been outed,
so too should the lying serial beefers be outed and their criminal
histories revealed for all to see.

Why is everybody on this false narrative depicting the Police as wild and out-of-control?

What does the progressive, Alinskite, white-guilt, protected urban
demographic, news media collusion alliance have to gain from
vilifying the Police into surrender?

What is their end game!

Complaints don't mean squat. Anyone can file a complaint.

Were they founded or unfounded complaints? That is what matters. News fail.

Well guys (and girls), the people need to hear about all these cases. We need transparency in government and in justice for all.

Having TVs in court gets the common folk the facts. I know I always strove for transparency in my administration. People knew where Pat stood. And we fought crime big time, handing out a lot of money, I mean, spending money on crime prevention programs.

Hey, see you at the next parade.

It would be great if the Tribune investigated politicians with the same zeal that they investigate cops.

Here is my personal account in dealing with Commander Evans. Last April or May I was working CTA special employment. One of the 11th district cars asked for an assist. So we went. A couple of other cars were there including Commander Evans. We were done with business and we noticed that our car had a flat tire. The air was leaking really fast and we needed to change it. Me and another officer are digging stuff out of the trunk and Commander Evans helps us with changing the flat. My partner had a bad back and the Commander told him to "go sit down on a lawn chair or something". Both of us changed the flat tire. This guy is the real deal and loves his foot soldiers.

Is it possible that he was never disciplined because the complaints were without substance? Could the complaints have been in retaliation for arrests he was making or causing to be made? Or is the complainant always an honest, truthful, and productive citizen?

It boogles the mind that most often the shitbirds decline to be video taped when "victimized" but will gladly appear on television to state their case!

Oh?
Jason "Biscuits n' Gravy" Ervin had a hand in this?

Hmmm... Word was he was real SALTY because
Evans ran his clownish ass out of 011.

Wonder if any hard and pointy questions were asked
of Barb West since she ran interference on the false-flag
operation ol' Biscuits n' Gravy ran when he saw Evans was
a way different Gold Star than Ervin was used to fucking with.

The principals IPRA and IAD orchestrating the Evans witch-hunt need to
have their phone and computer records pulled for any contacts
with Ervin or West...

(Ain't it too cute and convenient that West is an alumni of IAD?)

The dust-up with Ervin was one of those good times when the appropriate answer to
"Donchu know who I'm is?" is the respondent buffing his boots to
a high-powered sheen across the seat of the questioner's pants
while his ass is still in them...

Them cats at Shine King got nuttin' for this here...

Is ol' rotten-assed Claudell still wandering the hallways at the UC
looking like he dresses in the dark?
