Rahm and Rauner are Fighting

Really. They both swear the tiff is real. They slapped each other repeatedly and threw shoes.

Meanwhile....:
  • Over the last six weeks, it was impossible to turn on the TV and not be besieged by political spots in Chicago’s mayor’s race.

But another component of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s fiercely fought re-election campaign appeared elsewhere.

Digital media boosting Emanuel showed up on smartphones, tablets and in online video ads. It specifically targeted digital devices in 38 of the city’s 50 wards.

It targeted younger voters and didn’t really bother with Hispanic wards, guessing those would go for Jesus “Chuy” Garcia anyway.

None of that is very surprising except when you find out this: Republicans paid for it.
Next, they'll be badmouthing each other on Facebook.

Perhaps Rauner can help downsize the city of Chicago's government. Help us reduce the number of wards to say, 20. Perhaps its time for major cuts in all government positions.

Making fun of Down Syndrome kids.

Some asshole posted in another thread that Corky from the show Life Goes On has resemblance to Mayor Daley. That is grossly insensitive. Grow up and get a life. I am assuming you are an adult and a police officer. My son has Down's Syndrome. My boy is 24 years old and I can accept little kids saying mean stuff. I can never accept an adult saying mean and insensitive stuff. A month ago while shopping at Mariano's an adult customer said to his wife "why would someone bring a kid with a disability into this world? The poor kid should have been aborted". I was right behind them and my son was a few paces ahead of me. I am sorry if my kid isn't the picture perfect baby that can be posted on Facebook. But that is ok, life indeed does go on.

It will go on for weeks, cars being burned in place, he-say-she-say going all down the block, s__t being thrown up upside-down, etc.

Someone will tell the quarrelsome pair to "take it into the alley," as Rahm himself once said.

Then the fatal Facebook posting -- digital prelude to analog homicide in the new century.

>ominous music<

Who will step up to the plate for our mayor -- be there for him, take the bus across town to bring him a .38, and, when it malfunctions, fix it and hand it back?

Well, you're probably waiting with bated breath, unless you have a minnow in your mouth.

Me, not so much. They're pretending now, but Rahm's ego is going to get in the way and the feud will become real, much to Rahm's disadvantage. Rauner has real money and real clout. Rahm's a wannabe and will never have the standing Rauner has. It'll be interesting to watch.

Good freaking point. I bring this simple fact up to my many hard core Republican friends. They can't answer why John Boehner and the House of Rep can not control the out of control spending. They can not answer why Obamacare is not defunded. The only solution is to throw out all of the rino's and fake establishment Republicans and vote in people with real conservative principles. Then if they don't deliver then vote them out too. It is not rocket science.

Back in the day... We used to install points, condensor, distributor cap, etc., during a 'tune-up' for a car built before 1973 or so, when electronic ignitions became the norm. During that process we also used a 'timing light' to fine tune the spark, 'top-dead-center' &all that. One of the terms in grease-monkey parlance used back then when we were fiddling with the ignition timing was: 'Retard' the spark. Which was another way of saying: 'Dial it back'. This was done to adjust for smog, fuel economy, certain spark plugs, etc. In any event, there is NOTHING WRONG with using the term 'Retard' - even for people. It is Not 'offensive'. It simply means 'held back'. It is stunning to me how the twisting of words and meanings, combined with Full-'Retard' has so completely FUCKED UP the psyche of so many people in America - and the world for that matter.

Chicago: Not Detroit, But Facing A 'Day Of Reckoning'

"...statutorily required increases in annual payments to the pension funds go into effect in 2016, totaling

nearly an extra $550 million per year. It's an attempt to make up for years of chronic underfunding: Contributions

from the city averaged 35% of what actuaries deemed necessary in 2012 and 34% in 2013, according to a recent bond

"The outsized pension liability, among other challenges, prompted a series of credit rating downgrades, including one

Sometimes I go to a grocery store that, I think, tries to hire people with disabilities. Sometimes the checkout moves a tiny bit slower but I don't mind. I really liked one young man with Down's. Believe me, he was real smart, right on the ball and "knew the score."

Little flummox, price-check on a $7.99 box of tea and the "normal" they sent to look couldn't find it on the shelf. Young man realized, "Hey, we are busy, got to move this along here."

Rang it up with the all-purpose "GROCERY -- $2.50" and went right on ringing everything else. We just smiled at each other.

It was like a little gift exchanged both ways.

I never saw four disabled store employees outside that store after work, making the filthiest, most disgusting sexual remarks to each other that you can imagine. That was the "normals."

Some kids scare me -- and it isn't the ones with Down's.

Stay safe and God bless.

And here we are yelling about the Devil in those details...

OK.
As was observed in the results of the recent election, those who get off that half-dead ass and still drag it to work were outvoted by the low information and entitlement types who opted for maintaining the
current criminal-political/corporate sponsored status quo of The Illinois Combine-Daley Inc./Rahm & Co.

Now...
Look up and down the streets as you're driving to/from work and try to figure out which segment of Chicago's
"relatively undertaxed population" these money conjuring analysts are anticipating taking the entire rigid member of the father of all tax increases (cuz it's gonna be a mutha) through the seat of their still up and securely fastened pants?

It ain't gonna be Beggar-Man.
It ain't gonna be Elbow Luxurious
or his close associate, Scudder.

And it sure as high flying fuck ain't gonna
be any member of The Catered To Constituency
because they're a protected class.

It's gonna be the m/fer trying to hang on
that's going to have more money re-directed
from his pockets and out of his grasp.

The little working stiff trying to hang on to a
little loot is gonna get the gas pipe in his moon...

Money become magnetized and repelled when a peed-on peon or a middle class churl tries to reach for
some.

"Y'all rich cuz y'all got jobs an' pensions so why y'all salty an' shit cuz y'all gots to pay for us? We ain't got what y'all had to work for but we finna have it soon."

When are the political, corporate, financial, media and social titans and elites going to chirp cheerfully about THIS shit?

Spike finna make a movie.
Yay...

The larger problem and of great danger is our Rahm-appointed City Treasurer.

Treasurer Kurt Summers Jr, (former aid to Bobby Rush) and formerly of Grosvenor Capital Management. Grosvenor Capital Management is a "fund of hedge funds."

Summers is putting our pension money in some very risky financial instruments. He's trying to make a lot in a short amount of time. The problem is, of course, that a lot can be lost in a very short amount of time also.

What he is doing works OK for high risk/high reward hedge funds using private investments but is a great big no-no for investing employee pension funds.

If he guesses wrong the Vanecko real estate deal will look like Berkshire-Hathaway by comparison.

No joke.

Look for a future mayoral run by Kurt Summers Jr, He is being groomed by the top african-american money people in Chicago.

I feel bad that you and your son have encountered such mean spirited and insensitive people. May God bless both of you.
