Aldercreatrures Solve Pension Crisis!

  • Chicago Police officers and their counterparts in public and private security would be forbidden from using chokeholds under a crackdown proposed Monday in response to protests sweeping the nation.

Last week, a New York grand jury refused to indict a police officer who placed Eric Garner in a chokehold after Garner resisted arrest for selling loose cigarettes, which are also a chronic complaint of Chicago aldermen.

The decision added fuel to the fire for protesters already upset about a grand jury’s decision in Ferguson, Mo., not to indict the police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown.

On Monday, Chicago aldermen were moved to take action.
So let's get this straight:
  1. A Grand Jury in New York doesn't indict a cop for using an alleged "choke" hold while enforcing the law of New York;
  2. Another Grand Jury in Missouri doesn't indict a cop for defending his life against an attempted disarming;
  3. Low information citizens, professional race baiters, grievance-mongers and agitators make noise, march and pretty much break peaceable assembly laws;
  4. Chicago aldercreatures saw an opportunity to distract people from a burgeoning $600 million  pension balloon payment due shortly
Makes perfect sense...if you're a moron.

There isn't a cop on the job now that was taught a "choke hold" as a control tactic. Or if there is, it's under 100 guys and they're all hidden away in Warrant Offices or driver spots or the courts where the chances of them actually choking someone are about zero.

Choke holds haven't been taught for 30 years. It's an opportunistic headline and Burke ought to be ashamed to be bringing this shit up. He was a cop for what? a year? before being handed his daddy's aldercreature spot. Of course, he's Ed Burke, the guy who takes a city car to Wisconsin for golf outings. He's beyond common shame.

He also makes these whopper claims:
  • “In my class, we were taught how to choke people and to choke 'em until they lost consciousness. And when they taught us how to do that at the time, we were taught to use our nightstick to choke that person,” Burke said.

“Fifty years ago, when I was taught as a Chicago cop to choke people into unconsciousness, water-boarding was being used commonly. Water-boarding is not used anymore and choking shouldn’t be used anymore.”
It isn't, you ass. That's why they stopped teaching it. That's why the General Orders forbid it. And water boarding? Where does he come up with this shit? Rubber hoses? Telephone books? Sap gloves? We've all heard the stories, some may have been true. Water boarding? We'd like to know where Eddie served his year at, because we imagine all the guys in that District went on to illustrious careers as "merit" sergeants, lieutenants, captains, deputies and supernintendos, all for keeping their mouth shut about what Ed did.

Go find the pension money that you and Richie stole, diverted, and spent. And after you solve that one, go fuck yourself.

Can we just do a complete pullout of police in the ghetto areas?? They don't pay any taxes for police services and they hate the police. Just give the liberals what they want, a hands off police force.

Just let the GD's and Vice Lords control the ghetto areas because that's what the liberals want. Just get it over with.

No more free police services for ungrateful scum !!

Use the police resources to protect taxpaying areas and put the savings back into the pension fund.

They make the laws, right? And it seems to me that people are only getting hurt or killed by the police when they resist arrest or point a gun or other deadly weapon at them.

Here's my solution: Pass a law that states that if the people don't WANT to be arrested, the cops simply walk. Same for traffic stops, if they don't WANT to pull over just let em' go.

After Ofc. Wilson was almost disarmed by the Gentle Giant it was his job to pursue & Mike Brown ended up dead. It would have made the liberals happy if he put the car in drive and just leave.

And did you read that garbage by our usual joyful haters with a bully pulpit (scum-times) who suffers from short-man syndrome and is a spouse bopper?

Yeah... That one...

That column was a salute to twisted prog-tard thinking as the author twisted himself into knots to avoid the appearance of concurring with the legal authority granted to The Police to knock non-compliant subjects down to effect an arrest.

The Prog-Tards desperately want to overwrite Police Use of Force with "Duty to Retreat if Opposed."

Policemen knock people the FUCK DOWN to overcome resistance.

It's the LAW!
If you don't want to be sitting up to your ears in a smoking crater in the sidewalk, DON'T FIGHT and DON'T RESIST!

Emergency take-downs are SUPPOSED to be executed fast and with full power!

No! We are NOT obligated to gently guide your stupid, non-compliant ass to the pavement/wall/fence/fire hydrant/car bumper/kitchen sink etc. Nor are we obligated to provide you a pillow and a chocolate mint.

When we TELL YOU to put your hands behind your back? It's a m/fing POLICE ORDER! Not a request!

Who the fuck says The Police gotta fight FAIR?
We stomp. We gouge. We flip. We trip. We slap. We elbow. We throw a handful of Chicago shit-mud. We yank hair out. We've sprayed healthy doses of O.C. in armpits and down asscracks and we've conducted "wood-working class."

The old wagon-men who broke us in had a repertoire
of dirty tricks of which we're grateful they shared.

Yes the beefers beefed about getting their asses justifiably torn up by The Police but what is crucial is that once the cuffs go on, once Police authority wins, the ass-kickery STOPS.

That fat tub o' goo in New York?
We wonder how these bullhorn yellers
would've liked a Copper sticking a
baton through his legs from behind
and doing a power-clean and dropping
him flat on his face?

Perfectly legit but everybody will cry about
how "mean and hostile the cops looked."

There's no win for Policemen in this discussion.
It's come to survival, going home in one piece
with your skin intact and limiting your exposure
to these bad and crazy people who rejoice in
the destruction of effective Policing.

It's kind of like the Robo-Cop scene when they discovered his law enforcement directives were
overwritten with so much feel good BULLSHIT that he couldn't function effectively and was a danger to himself and his partner.

Life imitating art?
The war against The Police continues, right?

Mistuh Scum-Times writer can kiss a dead dog's hockey dot.

It wasn't a choke hold freakn morons. It was a take down move to get the huge offender that was resisting arrest down to the ground to place him in cuffs/custody. If he could talk - he wasn't in a choke hold. The video clearly shows he wasn't it a choke hold which is also known as a sleep hold. His trachea was crushed. He was an extremely overweight, out of shape man that suffered from heart disease, bad diabetes and other problems.

"Choke holds haven't been taught for 30 years. It's an opportunistic headline and Burke ought to be ashamed to be bringing this shit up."

As I recall back in 1978 we told NOT to use a choke hold as it is potentially deadly force.

What we were taught was a very effective CAROTID HOLD. Known in wrestling as the "sleeper hold". Best done by squeezing the neck from the sides between a wooden baton and the forearm. That’s why I never liked those ASP contraptions.

If properly done it will put an offender down no harm and no marks. The only problem is that to the untrained anti-police eye it looks like a choke hold.

Check out the Jan. 2014 issue of Police Magazine on the CAROTID HOLD.

Burke's comments are shameful. It leads people to believe that we are going using choke-holds routinely when nothing could be further from the truth. He should be saying that in Chicago, our police officers do not use choke, and have not been taught the choke for a quarter of a century. And, again, where is the press doing due diligence to make sure the truth comes out? It is a better story to show protests and towns burning down than to report the truth.

ARCHBISHOP CUPICH PRESIDES OVER SOLIDARITY PRAYER

At Holy Name Cathedral Sunday, Chicago's new Roman Catholic archbishop led his congregation in a gesture of solidarity with the protesters.

Archbishop Blase Cupich invited all to join him as he raised his hands in both prayer and a show of support.

"In solidarity to those who have hands raised these days in sense of frustration that the system does not seem to work for them, also sense of solidarity we're willing not just to pray with them but to reach out and do our part in solidarity to embrace them to carry the lambs who are at risk," Cupich said.

Most of the congregation joined Cupich and raised their hands during a moment of silent prayer.

Going back to 1967, choke holds were taught in the gym using your forearm and if needed your baton. Around 1979/80 we went back for retraining and were told to use the crook of your arm around the neck and not the forearm. I retired 2000 and do not recall any further training on take downs but do recall some type of order telling us not to use choke holds of any type.

Coppers have to get a offender under control quickly for one thing your carrying a gun or two we had to carry a secondary weapon on our belts which made it more dangerous being taken away {most didn't}big men have to be taken down quick to even the playing field the average person doesn't have to know these things so be thankful their are people who do and protect your ass.

Michael Brown's last act was to charge Officer Wilson with his head lowered, knowing that wilson had already shot him. Yet he persisted and was shot fatally, one bullet in the top of his head. Sounds like Suicide By Cop to me, but then why hasn't anyone picked this up?

You can thank Ed Burke for getting the chevrons for Sgt DC from the Court Section and her husband Sgt DP (they have different last names) from 005. She talked about merit picks like they were the lowest of the low, that is until they became two of them. TRUTH.

Above time post, Best comment regarding this subject, "use of force". I've been doing this job for 25 years and fought for my life more than a few times. My old time partner of many years gave me good advice on answering a cr many years ago. I was caught on tape punching a guy who squared off in a boxing stand. I punched him right in the nose and put him down. In answering the cr at the direction of my partner I stated that "I hit the offender as hard as I could with a closed fist, because I was in fear of a battery". End of story exonerated. Our job doesn't look pretty but is authorized by law. Sometimes we need to ignore criticism cause it's always going to be there. Grow some thick skin, do your job, don't lie, and look out for each other. We only got each other.

OT, Assistance requested.

Looking to get something nice and shiny for the missus for Christmas. Does anyone know of jewelry stores that are police friendly?

FOP had some pages up a while back, but they're all gone now.

In particular, looking for princess cut diamond stud earrings.

Thank you all in advance. Stay safe and God bless.

Go to Oscars watch and jewelry at 3459 s halsted. He's a true class act, and loves the police! He does anything you want to your personal jewelry or can usually get whatever you want. He also does a lot of custom stuff as well. Also try the hearts on fire collection that's what I bought for my wife. Just tell him Tomaso sent you.

Good job and yes, when you catch the beef, you can always presume there is video...

We got flagged for an excessive force beef where an arrestee became an assailant and decided to fight.

We beat the living dog shit out of him.
Yes we did...

All the appropriate paper was done.

The beef came down...
"We want your To-From report by xyz date."

To: Inv. Rattlemind - OPS
From: Ofc. Sick of the Bullshit
Subject: C/R# Who Gives A Shit

"See Attached Forms"

-Signature-

Got a nasty-gram from OPS about a week later...
"You CAN'T do THAT!"

Says who?

Well... They whistled us in to give a statement.

The problem?
Not that we hit the offender but that we hit him TOO HARD! (You can't make this shit up!)

The young lady taking the statement was "gastiflabbered" at our responses.

Yes we hit him.
Yes we hit him hard.
We will hit him hard again the next time we
have cause to arrest him and he resists/becomes
an assailant.

"Uhhhmmm... I need to confer with my supervisor about this!"

10 minutes later...
"Uhhhmm... Officer? I think we're done and my
supervisor says this will likely be unfounded."

Laughed all the way home.

Be right.
Be justified.
Tear all the skin and hair off that non-compliant ass and own the fact that you done it but remember. Stop play when the cuffs go on.

Work safe.
Nobody gives a shit about us BUT us.

Can we just do a complete pullout of police in the ghetto areas?? They don't pay any taxes for police services and they hate the police. Just give the liberals what they want, a hands off police force.

It's thoughts expressed like THIS that have created the current situation we have today between citizens and police. Since when do you clouted up assholes in a uniform actually believe that 022 and 016 (well known police residence areas) are the only areas of the city that pay taxes?

Loyola and DePaul have no real security

DePaul is Unarmed and Loyola doesn't patrol Both relies upon CPD

Don't send your kids to these schools

Who writes these lies? I can't speak for DePaul, but Loyola does indeed have a campus police dept., consisting of armed, certified police officers, which do patrol the campus area (they actually keep their light bars on the top of their SUV police squads lit at all times while on patrol, for higher visibility). If you don't know, don't say anything, but don't post a bunch of lies and BS please!

FYI I was told that Ed spent his time on the street working the midnight shift at the desk in the lobby of city hall. He was in law school at the time and that gave him some time to study and take some nice naps during the night so that he could go to school during the day.

Hmmm...
Neil Steinberg deigns to lower himself, pretend to be objective and see The Police perspective and dip a privileged toe into "that mighty online river of anonymous police anger and bile, Second City Cop."

It was like reading the equivalent of watching someone trying desperately to keep from shitting in their pants.

For someone barely able to conceal their contempt
for Policemen, Neal seems to be awfully concerned about why Chicago Cops harbor so much "anger and bile."

He and his ilk seem stuck on "You guys are just pissed because it isn't 1960 anymore."

Talentless hack...

Clearly you lost a few brain cells listening, especially if you listened to the morning show. I used to listen to Charles Butler all the time. He used to piss those people off for the fun of it. He popularized the term "urban terrorist."

They're not stupid. They're releasing it to coincide with Gruber's testimony before congress on Obamacare. If you remember, Gruber is the consultant who essentially said that the law was deliberately constructed so that no one would know what was going on, and that the voters are stupid.

You are correct, however. That stuff should have remained secret.

Might not be the conspiracy you are trying to create. Brochure says bring insurance card. That means PPO picks up the bill for certain tests. HMO's have those tests included in their physicals and treatments, so I don't think they want to pay for the tests.
The fair is free but your insurance will pick up the costs of certain tests.

The City of Chicago also reduced the length of time for a yellow light, to below the 3 second minimum standards set by the U.S. Department of Transportation, in order to increase and capture red-light violations, using their red light camera systems, in order to generate revenue for his majesty, King Rahm Emmanuel. Chokehold violations will similarly result in heavy fines, to be paid directly to his royal heyena-ass. But it's all about the children, right Rahm?
