Thank God you're all right!

We were sooooo worried, we suspected foulplay.

We thought the Heartbleed virus might have got you or Rahm might have crawled up your modem.

Just as soon as shifty Rahm says he won’t consider imposing a city income tax, his creepy buck-toothed liberal cheerleader Eric Zorn starts laying a bed for him:

http://blogs.chicagotribune.com/news_columnists_ezorn/2014/04/city-income-tax.html#more
(Fibune, Friday April 11, 2014 “Four reasons why Mayor Emanuel shouldn't reject a city income tax”)

I’ll say it again – the more they deny it, the more we know it’s coming.

And when it hits, you’ll see all the Chicago “millionaires” – that is, people like you and me who work for a living – move to the collar counties or discover new definitions of the term “resident.”

I thought Ladner had left. What's with the Department taking off six names from the Detective list and replacing them with six other names. Did 35th St get caught or what was the problem.
Seems they bypassed a few people to get their own in there and got GOT!!!

Stop with your BS. These six turned it down so they put six more in. The new six are even in bold print so you can tell who was added. No big conspiracy.

Please bring the kids. Too many grow up and have no idea what their dads and moms, brothers and sisters do and they are part of a big family. It helps keep them from being the problem kids we hear about later as teens.

Stay Safe and bring the kids. Tell them how you helped people; otherwise what will influence them about what the CPD does, TV news, that turkey of a TV show Chicago PD.

To the poster asking about veteran suicide. Yes, the average is twenty two veterans every day in our country committing suicide. This is not news. Although it should be top priority it isn't. This has been the average for a very long time. The reason. Poor service for returning combat veterans. Even though the U.S. spends billions on veteran services the programs are employed by uncaring and ignorant civilians. Veterans walk away and do not return because they refuse to be treated poorly by civilians. Every hospital and service center should be employed by veterans. Military personnel should service other military personnel. That would provide thousands of jobs for veterans and there would never be any break down of communication. There would be respect for the veteran.

Relax, Junior! Don't get your panties twisted around your neck! Maybe just maybe - people didn't want the promotion. I know I waived it due to family reasons. Be sure to look for my name on the next list!

Years ago, I brought my nine year old daughter to my station on Take Your Daughter to Work Day. She was wide eyed and had a uniform shirt, badge and one of my name plates and was the perfect doll.

She stayed behind the desk coloring on one of the tall stools and when a citizen came in she cheerfully asked, "Can I help you?"

When our District Commander came down and gave a puzzled look at this new face I leaned in and said, "Have you been to the Academy lately Boss? There ALL starting to look like that."

You are absolutely right!. Whoever started this should have been stopped a long time ago. Kids marching takes the decorum and reverence away from the parade. This is nothing against your children however, this is not St. Patrick's Day or another holiday parade. It is for our fallen. How about a nice compromise? Check in with your unit and march with all the kids at the rear of the parade. And please officers stop dancing in line when the music starts. That was one of the ugliest things I ever saw on this job!

Retired
